Bad Penny from Knitty

I made this as an excuse to rid myself of hastly purchased
Wool of the Andes. I used 2 balls of each color and knit until
each one ran out. I'm not sure that I could have planned the stripes
out better. And the little argyle detail brings me joy.

 

The LYS had Blue SKy Bulky Alpaca on ultra mega sale and
I could decide on a color. I made the scarf longways because I
wanted it striped and didn't want to have to weave in a thousand
huge assed ends. Thanks to serious miscalculations, the scarf is
8 feet long.

 

I had enough left over to make a hat
